March « 2015 « Rima Darwash

So here it is, a year in the making, the epic Indian wedding I had the pleasure and honour of shooting in Kenya! As the wedding festivities went on for over the course of a week, I had to split this blog post into parts. It is really difficult to put into words my feelings and thoughts for this wedding. It is partly why I have had these images hiding away on my hard drive for so long – I dont know where to begin?! The journey there? The sights, The smells, the people?! The banter? The side splitting jokes? The amazing locations we went to?! It’s all too much goodness to put into words or even narrow down images into a sizable blog post.

Finally…she starts blogging again! I can hear that from you all. So I have some of the most amazing scrumptious images that have been sitting on my hard drive screaming for them to get out!

I love this couple. Like I mean I absolutely adore them. Fun and yolo is how I describe them :) I love how they dont take themselves seriously, how relaxed and open to new ideas they are. At the time of this shoot a brand new cinema had just opened up in my city. It was full of vintage movie posters, cosy seats and atosphereic lighting..I knew I had to do a shoot there! Having proposed the idea to Priyum and Amit to do a shoot as if they were going to their own movie premier they loved it, and a client and photographer matched made in heaven was created! Priuym and Amit had the most AMAZING wedding in Kenya (which I will be blogging an epically long blog post very soon) and it made me smile to see how they carried on the ‘movie, red carpert’ theme in their wedding reception.
