February « 2012 « Rima Darwash

Ok, here its is the final installment of Sana and Asim’s wedding events. Ive had the pleasure of shooting their engagement 2 years ago, pre wed functions, mehndi night, beautiful wedding, and this was the perfect finale. I loved the contemporary feel of this final event. Held at the newly opened Crowne Plaza Heythrop Park in Oxford; with a pallet of fresh pinks whites and silver, it was a totally different feel to their grand traditional wedding.

Sana and Asim had hired the awesome team from Amor Media Productions, and together had created a funny Bollywood inspired spoof pre-wed film trailer on how they had met. The film was showcased to an unsuspecting crowd; it even had me in stitches!

I loved everything about this wedding, the stunning venue, the beautiful red and gold colour palette, the eloquence of the whole day, topped by one of my favorite families I’ve had the pleasure of befriending. Ambreen was the make up artist who created Sana’s stunning dramatic eyes, Sana Safinaz (the Vera Wang of asian wedding dress designers) was the designer of Sana’s elegant dress, and I cannot forget to mention the awesome team from Amor Media Productions who had filmed the whole occasion on their dslr’s.

I would love to disclose the where abouts of this exotic venue, but as its someone’s private estate, and its exclusivity (they only allow up to 6 weddings a year) I will just let the images do the talking….

Thank you to both families I am humbled to have gotten the pleasure to know you and shoot all your events, and no doubt I shall remain in contact for years to come :)
